Economic Development and Regional PlanningTo take part in related activities, please consider joining the Land Use in the Finger Lakes Conference. The FLI extends across traditional water quality and outreach activities, and integrate economics and community development into our list of goals. These activities include development of an economic database for the Finger Lakes Region, construction of an economic model that will estimate employment and output impacts for specific economic development strategies, and link these outcomes to the resultant environmental outcomes. In this way, we can accurately evaluate a variety of economic development impacts and still preserve the environmental vitality of the region.
