GIT Summer Internships For Your Students
GIT Ahead provides funding for 6-8 student internships each summer. We will do our best to match high school juniors and seniors with job placements within 30 minutes of their homes. Internships are paid positions ($7.25/hr), 40 hours a week, for 8 weeks (July and August), and take place at the Institute for the Application of Geospatial Technology in Auburn, or at area businesses or agencies that utilize GIS in their work.
Please have students submit their applications for these positions via the GIT Ahead Internship Application form on the web. Application deadline is May 15, 2009.
All applicants should also download a teacher recommendation form, and have a teacher of their choice submit this on their behalf.
