Applications for 2008 Summer Research Fellowships are now available at the Provost's Office. Research positions with HWS faculty are open to HWS students in a number of fields and generally run for eight weeks, although actual positions may vary by project. Research positions generally include a stipend of $3,360 ($420 per week) plus free campus room. Research opportunities are being offered in biology, chemistry, education, environmental studies, geoscience, mathematics/computer science, psychology and physics, as well as at the Finger Lakes Institute. Interested students should contact the department or program for specifics and discuss the projects and their requirements with the project's respective faculty sponsor. All positions are tentative and subject to final funding and approval from the faculty and the Provost's Office. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22.
