Diane Brandli, an interior designer; and Peter J. Arsenault, an architect, will talk about "The Green Building Industry and Sustainable Communities: From the 'Big Picture' to the details," at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the Finger Lakes Institute Classroom, 601 S. Main St. From building interiors to the building site to the greater community to the economy that supports them and the natural environment surrounding them, "people, planet and profit" are intricately intertwined. In this presentation, Brandli and Arsenault, both LEED-accredited professionals and members of the U.S. Green Building Council, will provide an overview of the green building industry and the challenges of creating sustainable communities.
